existed?

God the Father only existed.
There were no other beings that existed before He created them.

Hebrew? Why is that important?
A.
In Hebrew God the Father’s name
is Eloah. Eloah is a singular word and admits no pluralities which means that
God is not a trinity or made up of various parts.
Q3. What is the first
thing God the Father created?
A.
God the Father’s creation began
with generating the power by which he could create spiritual beings and the
universe. That power is called ruach or breath in
Hebrew, and the Holy Spirit in English.
Q4. Who was the first born
of the spiritual creation?
A.
The spirit being that became
Jesus Christ was the first born of the created spiritual beings. He is referred
to as the first begotten (prototokos) of the
creation.

Elohim. This is a plural word unlike Eloah which is

Q7. Was the birth of Jesus a complete surprise,
or did the prophets write about it long ago?
A.
The prophets wrote about it
long ago. They were given some of the knowledge about God’s plan.
Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his
name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and
peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to
order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (KJV)
Q8. Does the Bible
instruct us to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ?
A.
No. In fact, the Bible does not tell us the exact
time of Jesus’s birth. We can use
Biblical clues to determine that his birth was sometime in the Fall season, but
not the exact date. We annually
commemorate the death, resurrection and ascension to
the Father of Jesus Christ during the Passover season.
Q9. Is Jesus Christ, as the Son of God, part of a
Trinity?
A.
No. He is the Son of God the Father who is the
One True God or Most High God.
1 Jhn 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they
know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent. (RSV)
Q10. Is it ok to pray to Jesus and worship him?
A.
No! The First Commandment teaches us “You shall
have no other gods (elohim) before me” (Ex. 20:3) Even
Jesus Christ taught us that we are only to worship God the Father.
Mat 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, “Begone,
Satan! for it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only
shall you serve.’” (RSV)
Q11. What does Jesus Christ mean when he says “He who has seen me has seen the Father” (Jn 14:8-10)?
A.
Jesus Christ’s character and
way of life were representative of his Father and therefore to know him was to
know God the Father.
Q12. How do we know that Jesus Christ was a spirit
being before he gave up that existence and was born to Mariam?
A.
The Bible tells us! Jesus Christ was the being that led the
Israelites through the sea.
1Co 10:1-4 I want you to know, brethren, that our
fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 2 and all
were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 and all ate the same
supernatural food 4 and all drank the same supernatural drink. For they drank
from the supernatural Rock which followed them, and the Rock was Christ.
Jesus also asked God to restore the glory that he had before the
world was made.
Jhn 17:5 and now, Father, glorify thou me in
thy own presence with the glory which I had with thee before the world was made
(RSV).
Q13. What was the significance of Jesus’s human
life?
A.
Jesus came to show us how to
live God’s way of life and fulfil his role as the Passover Lamb. By his death, humans can repent of their sins
and have direct access to the Father through
prayer. It is through the blood of Jesus
Christ that we are reconciled to God the Father.
Eph 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace (RSV)
Q14. Did Jesus come to do away with or change
God’s law?
A.
No. Jesus taught that God’s laws will not pass
away.
Mat 5:17-19 Think not that I have come to abolish the
law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. 18
For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a
dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. 19 Whoever then relaxes
one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called
least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be
called great in the kingdom of heaven. (RSV)
Q15. Why was Jesus called the “Lamb of God”?
A.
The blood of the first Passover
lamb was put on the doorposts and lintels of the Israelite homes so that the
death angel would “pass over” the home and the first born would be saved. Jesus’s sacrifice and spilled blood took the
place of the Passover lamb and allows us access to eternal life.
Jhn 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming
toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of
the world! (RSV)
1Pe 1:18-20 You know that you were ransomed from the
futile ways inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things such as
silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb
without blemish or spot. 20 He was destined before the foundation of the world
but was made manifest at the end of the times for your sake. (RSV)
He
symbolically fulfilled the original Passover sacrifice. His sacrifice was once and for all and that
is why we no longer need a physical lamb.
Q16. How long was Jesus in the grave?
A.
Just like the sign of Jonah,
Jesus was in the tomb three days and three nights. (Mat 16:4)
Q17. Which day of the week was Jesus crucified?
resurrected? ascended to the Father?
A.
Jesus was crucified on a
Wednesday at 3:00pm as the first Passover lamb was being killed. He was put in the tomb and was there Wed.
night to Saturday at dark. He was
resurrected after dark on Saturday (the beginning of the first day of the
week). He ascended to the Father on
Sunday morning.
Q18. What was the significance of Jesus’s
ascension to the Father on Sunday morning?
A.
That was the day of the Wave
Sheaf when the first fruits of the harvest were waved before God by the High
Priest. Jesus Christ fulfilled the Wave
Sheaf offering as he was the first of the firstfruits
of everyone else awaiting their resurrection.
1Co 15:20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the
dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. (RSV)

Activity: The Maze of Messiah’s
return
Supplies per child: one zip-lock bag,
red, blue, purple yarn (enough yarn of all three colours to set up a maze that
is intertwined with the other children’s strings), High Priest cards, kingly
cards, twelve tribal cards. A hole-punch, short strings
or safety pins to attach the cards on to the red/blue maze yarn. Attach the
High Priest cards to be scattered throughout each child’s red yarn and do the
same with kingly cards on the purple, and Law cards on the blue.
Procedure: Before they begin, review the concept we all come to the Father
through Christ; we enter in through one of the twelve tribes (Rev. 21:12).
At
the start of the maze have each child draw one of the Tribe cards. The children
then go to the start of the maze and find the matching Tribe card. As the children go through the maze they just continue to wind up the yarn either around a
crumbled piece of paper towel or old paper towel roll. As they get to the cards they take the cards off and place them in their
zip-lock bag.
When
they finish, discuss how easy or hard it is to go over and under all the
obstacles. What things give us problems or cause us to sin or become
discouraged or frustrated just like when you became frustrated going through
the tangled maze? Reflect on how challenging it must have been for Christ to
live a sinless life. He did set us an example and gave up his life so we could
be reconciled or united back to the Father.

Answer: The colour red represents the blood of Jesus Christ as our
Passover sacrifice.

Question: What were some of the things you gathered from the red/priest yarn
and what did they symbolize?
Answer: Golden plate or mitre, breastpiece, white
tunic, blue robe, bare feet, crown of thorns, colt, sceptre with Judah.
Question: What does the blue yarn represent?
Answer: Law of God administered by the priesthood of Aaron from Sinai
and the setting up of the Tabernacle. Since the giving of the Holy Spirit the
Church is in charge of the Oracles of God. Blue
ribbons are to remind us of the Commandments and Law of God.
Question: Are we to wear blue ribbons as fringes on our clothing to remind of
us of the Law of God?
Answer: Yes, (Num. 15:38-39; Deut. 22:12).

Question: What does the purple yarn represent?
Answer: When we mix red with blue we get the colour
purple. In God’s colour scheme we see when we combine the perfect acceptable
sacrifice of Christ with the Perfect Law of God we see
God’s royal priesthood that combines the components of the High Priest with
King. The priesthood is now after the order of Melchisidek.
Melchisedek was both king and priest (Ps. 110:4; Heb. 7:1-2).
Question: Was Christ like Melchisedek?
Answer: Yes, (Ps. 110:4; Heb.

Question: Is it now a royal priesthood?
Answer: Yes, the priesthood is now a royal priesthood (1Pet. 2:9).

prompts to draw their own picture/collage of Messiah as High Priest and King
and how we will be kings and priests also.

cards on two pieces on construction paper. The first four Commandments under
the first Great Commandment and the last six under the second Great
Commandment.

Cut about twelve inches or 30
cm of each colour of string for each child. Allow the children to braid the
three colours together to reinforce the concept of Christ’s role as High
Priest/ keeping of the Law and ruling as a King are “tied” together when he
returns to the Earth to rule the planet. If the yarn is thin the braid can
become bookmarks that the children can keep or make for the congregation.

the elohim status that he laid down at the
incarnation, through his resurrection from the dead as a Son of God in power
(Rom. 1:4). He qualified to become the Morning Star and he will share that rule
with his household (Rev. 2:27-28; 22:16; cf. Zech. 12:8) as they share the
divine nature of God as he does (2Pet. 1:4).
