A. The sacrifice of Messiah enabled us to be reconciled or reunited to the Father. We would remain dead in our sins and our life would end when we die without this sacrifice.

Q3. Can you think of another wonderful gift we have been given?

A. Christ, in his willingness to lay down his life for the fallen Host and mankind, is also a gift beyond belief. So Jesus came to give his life (i.e. to die) that we might have eternal life with him and the Father.

Q4. Why did we need to be reunited with the Father?

A. Sin separates us from God. When Adam and Eve sinned humans were denied access to the One True God. By Christ’s death humans can repent of their sins and again have access to the Father through His Holy Spirit. However, this first requires repentance and baptism when we are adults.

Q5. The demons or fallen Host are doing everything they can to stop or interfere with the Plan of Eloah. Will they succeed?

A. No. Only what God allows or wills will happen. Yet as we get closer and closer to the time of the Witnesses and Messiah’s return many will attempt to deceive even the elect if it were possible (Mat. 24:24).

Q6. How can we avoid being deceived by Satan and the fallen Host?

A. As long as we obey God and keep all of His Laws we will not be deceived or tricked.

Q7. Do we have a responsibility to be able to give an answer of the hope that lies within us (1Pet. 3:15)?

A. We need to be able to explain the reasons we believe what we do. From the lessons on the Amour of God we know we are to use the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Eph. 6:17).

Q8. Matthew 24:22-29 tells us many false Christs will arrive and even deceive or trick the very elect if it were possible. Does God allow these errors?

A. Yes, errors are allowed to demonstrate or show who has the approval of God and who does not have His approval (cf. 1Cor. 11:17-19).

Q9. Some people say Christ was not human or did not come in the human flesh. Is this correct?

A. Every spirit that does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ came in the flesh is not of God (cg. 1Jn. 4:3, CEV).

Q10. We know that Satan sinned by his rebellion. Could Messiah also sin?

A. Yes, Jesus was like every human and yet very different. He was tested but he never sinned (Heb. 4:15).

Q11. Is it true that Messiah was touched before he ascended to the Father on Wave Sheaf?

Not true. Messiah instructed Mary Magdalene not to touch him after he had been raised from the dead (Jn. 20:17). However, after his ascension and acceptance by the Father he was touched (Mat. 28:9). If he had he been touched prior to ascension to the Father, Messiah would no longer be a perfect untouched/unblemished offering.

Q12. Those who worship on Sunday and keep a pagan calendar say Christ did away with the Law. How would you answer this?

A. We can be sure from what Christ said: “Until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter or the least stroke of the pen will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished (Mat. 5:18). Messiah came to keep the Law not change or break the Law (Mat. 5:17).

Q13. Did the Messiah’s sacrifice replace any part of the Law?

A. Yes, his sacrifice replaced the sacrificial law only (Heb. 10:1-18). Other than that the Laws of God remain and are binding on us today, as they always were, from the creation of the spiritual Host, and on to the first humans in the Garden of Eden.

Q14. People who celebrate the Easter festival say that Christ rose from the dead on Sunday morning. We know this is not true, but what is the correct answer?

A. The resurrection did not take place on Sunday morning. The Easter custom came into the Church quite some time after Jesus went back to Heaven. We know from the Bible that Christ had to be three days and three nights in the tomb just like Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish (Mat. 12:39-41). He was buried on a Wednesday and rose from the dead on Saturday night, and then waited until Sunday morning in readiness to ascend into Heaven (Jn. 20:1).

Q15. Another teaching is that we should celebrate Christ’s birthday on 25 December. Is this true or false?

A. This is false since we are told to remember the day of Christ’s death yearly (Lk. 22:9; 1Cor. 11:23-26) and told not to keep birthdays (Gen. 40:20; Job 1:4; Mat. 14:6, Mk. 6:21). Directions: Print all cards on the same colour of card stock, preferably a colour that the ink does not show through; cut out all the cards.
To play: Children may play individually or in teams of two or more. Shuffle all cards and place them face down on the table. The object of the game is to get a match. Once the child has a match he or she may have a second turn – up to three matches per turn. It will be easier for young children if the cards are turned over and returned face down to their original position if a match was not achieved.

Activity Options: Run of the bulls

Supplies: 1 set of the following cards per participant in the lesson: Ten Commandment cards, blue ribbon card, duties of the priest cards, pagan objects or symbols i.e. Christmas cards, eater bunnies/eggs, crosses etc.
Directions: using the cards, the following activity can be set up as a maze, scavenger hunt, etc. Items can be placed in multiple envelopes and colour-coded so each child can find their colour; clues can be offered from a start point and children need to read their clues and find the items, or a check off list can be handed to each participant and they must find all the items on their sheet.
Processing the event: have the children bring all the items they received in through the run with bulls to the table to begin to discuss what they found. Their cards on the Ten Commandments can be glued onto a piece of construction paper and labelled “The Ten Commandments”. They may pin their four blue ribbons on themselves unless they are wearing blue ribbons. The Duties of a Priest cards can also be glued to construction paper and kept as a reference text or given to a church member who was to ill to travel to the Feast.

The pagan items can be reviewed and discussed with scriptural support saying why the item is against God’s Law. After the discussion the children can “smash” (with adult supervision) the pagan items, which can then be burnt in a grill.
