1 Yesu arangije gutuma abigishwa biwe cumi na babiri, avayo, aja kwigisha abantu no kuvuga ivy’Imana mu bisagara vyabo. Ariko Yohana ari mu nzu y’imbohe, yumva ivyo Kristo akora, atuma abigishwa biwe kumubaza ati :  3 Mbeg’uri wawundi akwiye kuza, canke twitege uwundi ? Yesu arabishura, ati Ni mugende mubarire Yohana ivyo mwumva n’ivyo mubona : Impumyi zirahumuka, abacumbagira bagenda neza, abanyamibembe barakizwa, ibipfamatwi birumva, abapfuye barazurwa, aboro barabwirwa ubutumwa bwiza. Kandi hahirwa uwo ivyanje bitazotsitaza ! Abo bagiye, Yesu atangura kubwira ishengero ivya Yohana, ati Mwagiye mu bugaragwa kuraba iki ? Mbega n’irenga rihungabanywa n’umuyaga ? Ariko mwagiye kuraba iki? Mbega n’umuntu yambaye impuzu ziremvye? Ereg’abambaye impuzu ziremvye baba mu ngo z’abami. Ariko mwajanywe n’iki? Mbega kwar’ukuraba umuntu avugishwa n’Imana? Ego me ni co; kandi ndababwire, Aruta uwuvugishwa n’Imana cane. 10 Uyo ni we yanditswe, ng’Umve ngira ntume integuza yanje imbere y’amaso yawe, Ikuroranirize inzira imbere yawe. 11 Ndababwire ukuri : Mu bavyawe n’abagore ntihigeze kuboneka umuntu aruta Yohana Umubatizi. Arik’umutoya mu bwami bwo mw’ijuru aramuruta. 12 Uhereye mu gihe ca Yohana Umubatizi ugashitsa n’ubu barabandanira ubwami bwo mw’ijuru, ababandana babunyakurisha ubuhizi. 13 Kukw’abavugishwa n’Imana bose bavugishijwe, bo n’ivyagezwe, gushitsa igihe ca Yohana ; 14 kandi ni mwaba mugomba kuvyemera, uwo ni we Eliya yavuzwe kw’azoza. 15 Uwuri n’amatwi yumva ni yumve. 16 Arikw’ab’uru runganwe ndabagereranye n’iki? Basa n’abana bicaye mu tuguriro, bahamagara bagenzi babo, 17 bati : Twavugije imyironge ntimwahamiriza; twakomye induru, ntimwaboroga. 18 Kuko  Yohana yaje, atarya, atanywa, bavuga bat’Ahagazweko na dayimoni. 19 Umwana w’umuntu yaje, arya, anywa, baravuga bati Nguyu umukunzi w’inda n’umunoho wa vino, incuti y’abatozakori n’abanyavyaha. Kand’ubwenge burangwa ko bugororotse n’ibikorwa vyabwo. 20 Bun’atangura guhambarira ibisagara yakoreyemw’ibikomeye vyinshi, kuko batihanye. 21 At’uzobona ibara, Korazini; uzobon’ibara, Betsayida; kukw’ibikomeye vyakorewe muri mwebwe iyo biba vyarakorewe muri Tiro n’i Sidoni, baba barihanye kera, bakambara amagunira, bakisiga iminyota. 22 Ariko ndababwire: Muri Tiro n’i Sidoni hazogira agahengekerezo ku musi w’amateka kurusha mwebwe. 23 Nawe, Kaperenawumu, mbeg’uzoshirwa hejuru ushike kw’ijuru? Oya, uzocokezwa i kuzimu; kukw’ibikomeye vyakorewe muri wewe, iyo biba vyakorewe i Sodomu, haba hakiriho na bugingo n’ubu. 24 Ariko ndababwira yukw’igihugu c’i Sodomu kizogira agahengekerezo ku musi w’amateka kurusha wewe. 25 Mur’ico gihe Yesu aravuga ati : Ndaguhimbaza, Data, Mwami w’ijuru n’isi, kukw’ivyo wabihishije abanyabwenge n’abahanga, ukabihishurira inzoya. 26 Ego me, Data, Kuko washimye ko biba bityo imbere yawe. 27 Vyose nabihawe na Data, kandi ntawuzi Umwana, atari Data, na Data, nta wumuzi, atar’Umwana, n’uwo Umwana agomba kumuhishurira. 28 Ni muze kuri jewe mwese abananiwe n’abaremerewe, ndabaruhura. 29 Mwikoreze ingata yanje, munyigireko; kuko nd’umugwaneza, niyoroheje mu mutima; namwe muzoronka uburuhukiro bw’imitima yanyu. 30 Kukw’ingata yanje itababaza, n’umutwaro wanje uhwahutse.

1 Mur’ico gihe Yesu aca mu mirima y’ingano kw’Isabato. Abigishwa biwe bashonje, batangura kumyoza ingano, barazihekenya. Abafarisayo babibonye, baramubwira bati : Mbeg’abigishwa bawe ko bakora ikizira gukorwa kw’isabato. Na we arababaza ati : Nta ho murasoma ico Dawidi yakoze, aho yar’asonzanye n’abari kumwe na we ; ingene yinjiye mu nzu y’Imana, akarya imitsima y’ibiterekerwa, yar’umuziro kuri we no ku bari kumwe na we, ukuye abaherezi bonyene ? Canke nta ho murasoma mu vyagezwe ingene kw’Isabato abaherezi, iyo bari mu rusengero, bazirura isabato, ntibabekw’igicumuro ? Ariko ndababwira yuko hano har’uwuruta urusengero. Iyo muba mwari muzi iri jambo ico rivuga, ngw’imbabazi ni zo ngomba, s’ibimazi; ntimuba mutsindishije abatarikw’igicumuro. Kuk’Umwana w’umuntu ar’Umwami w’isabato. Avayo, yinjira mw’isinagogi yabo. 10 Kandi harimw’umuntu anyunyutse ukuboko. Baramubaza bati : Mbega biremerwa gukiza kw’isabato? Ngo baronke uko bomurega. 11 Arabishura ati : Ni nde muri mwebwe yoba afise intama imwe ikagwa mu cobo kw’isabato, ntayifate ngo ayikureyo ? 12 Mbega none umuntu ntaruta intama cane? None rero biremerwa gukora ivyiza kw’isabato. 13 Maz’abwira uwo muntu ati : Ramvura ukuboko kwawe. Arakuramvura, kurakira, gukomera nk’ukundi. 14 Abafarisayo barasohoka, bamugira inama ngo babone ingene bomwica. 15 Yesu abimenye, arahava. Benshi baramukurikira, abakiza bose. 16 Arabihaniza ngo ntibagende baramwandagaza, 17 ngw’ivyavuzwe n’uwavugishwa n’Imana Yesaya bishike ngo : 18 Nguyu umushumba wanje natoranije, Nkunda, ahimbara umutima wanje; Nzoshira Mpwemu wanje kuri we, Azomenyesha abanyamahanga amateka azocibwa. 19  Ntazosinda, kandi ntazoyogora, Kandi ntawuzokwumva ijwi ryiwe mu nzira. 20 Ntazohohosha irenga rivunitse, N’urumuri ruyenga ntazoruzimya, Gushitsa ah’azogomorera amateka akanesha. 21 Kand’izina ryiwe ni ryo abanyamahanga bazokwizigira. 22 Maze bamuzanira impumyi y’ikiragi yinjiwemwo na dayimoni, arayikiza; ico kiragi kiravuga, kirahumuka. 23 Ishengero ryose rirumirwa, riti Mbeg’uyu yoba wa mwana wa Dawidi? 24 Arikw’abafarisayo bavyumvise baravuga, bat’uyu ntashobozwa n’ikindi gusenda abadayimoni, atari Beyezeburi, umukuru w’abadayimoni. 25 Amenye ivyo biyumvira, arababwira ati : Ubzq,i bzose iyo bwitandukanije ubwabwo burahona. Igisagara cose n’umuryango wose iyo vyitandukanije ntibirama. 26 Na satani, yosenda Satani, yoba yitandukanije ubwiwe; non’ubwami bwiwe bworama bute ? 27 Ariko jewe namba Beyezebuli ari we anshoboza gusenda abadayimoni, abana banyu bashobozwa na nde kubasenda ? Ni co gituma ari bo bazobatsindisha. 28 Ariko Mpwemu w’Imana ni yaba ari we anshoboza gusenda abadayimoni, noneh’ubwami bw’Imana burabashikiriye. 29 Non’umuntu yoshobora ate kwinjira mu nzu y’umuntu w’inkomezi kumusahura ibintu atabanje kuboha wamunyenkomezi? Maz’akabona kumusahura ivyo mu nzu yiwe. 30 Uwutamperereyeko n’umwansi wanje, kand’uwudasukiranya nanje arasanzaza. 31 Kubw’ivyo ndababwira yukw’icaha cose n’ukurogota, abantu bazoboharirwa; ariko kurogota kuri Mpwemu n’icaha kitazoharirwa. 32 Umuntu wese azodedemba ku Mwana w’umuntu azobiharirwa, arik’uwudedemba kuri Mpwemu Yera ntazobiharirwa, naho hoba mur’iki gihe canke mu gihe kizoza. 33 Ni mube muvuga igiti kw’ari ciza n’ivyo camye kw’ari vyiza, canke mube muvuga igiti kw’ari kibi n’ivyo camye kw’ari bibi; kukw’igiti kimenyekanira kuvyo camye. 34 Mwa bana b’inzoka mwe, mwoshobora mute kuvuga ivyiza muri babi? Ibibogaboga mu mutima ni vyo akanwa kavuga. 35 Umunyangeso nziza akura ivyiza mw’itunga ryiwe ryiza; umunyangeso mbi akura ibibi mw’itunga ryiwe ribi. 36 Kandi ndababwira yukw’ijambo ryose risunitswe n’impwemu abantu bavuga, bazoribazwa ku musi w’amateka. 37 Amajambo yawe ni yo azotuma utsinda cank’amajambo yawe ni yo azotuma utsindwa. 38 Abafarisayo n’abanyabwenge b’ivyanditswe bamwe baramubwira bati : Mwigisha, turagomba kuraba ikimenyetso ukora. 39 Arabishura ati : Ab’urunganwe rubi rw’ubumaka barondera ikimenyetso ; kandi ntakimenyetso bazohabwa, atar’ikimenyetso c’uwavugishwa n’Imana Yona. 40 Nk’uko Yona yamaze imisi itatu n’amajoro atatu mu nda y’urufi, ni ko n’Umwana w’umuntu azomara imisi itatu n’amajoro atatu i Kuzimu . 41 Abagabo b’i Ninewe bazovana hasi n’ab’uru runganwe ku musi w’amateka, babatsindishe kuko bihanye aho bumviye ubutumwa buvuzwe na Yona; kandi raba, uwuruta Yona ari hano. 42 Umugabekazi w’igihugu c’i bumanuko azovana hasi n’ab’iki gihe ku musi w’amateka, abatsindishe; kuko yavanywe ku mpera y’isi no kwumva ubwenge bwa Salomo; kandi raba uwuruta Salomo ari hano. 43 Impwemu ihumanye iy’ivuye mu muntu, ica ahatagira amazi, irondera uburuhukiro, ikabubura. 44 Ikavuga iti Reka nsubire mu nzu yanje navuyemwo. Ihashitse, igasanga igaragara, ikubuye, iteguritse. 45 Igaca igenda, ikazana izindi mpwemu ndwi ziyirusha ububi, zikinjira, zikahaba. Ivya nyuma vy’uwo muntu bikarusha ivya mbere ububi. Ni ko bizoba no ku b’iki gihe kibi. 46 Akivugana n’ishengero, nyina na bene nyina bari bahagaze hanze, bagomba kubonana na we. 47Umwe aramubwira ati : Erega umuvyeyi wawe na barumuna bawe bahagaze hanze, baragomba ko mubonana. 48 Yishura uno abimubwiye ati : Mama ni nde ? Canke bene mama ni bande ?" 49Atunga urutoke abigishwa biwe ati : Ngaba mama na bene mama ! 50 Kuk’umuntu wese akora ivyo Data wo mw’ijuru agomba ari we murumunanje na mushikanje na mama."

Abigishwa biwe baza kuri we, bati Dusobanurire umugani w’urwamfu rwo mu ndimiro. 37 Na we arabishura, at’Uwubiba imbuto nziza n’umwana w’umuntu ; 38 Indimiro n’isi. Imbuto nziza ni bo bana b’ubwami. Ikintu co gukoresha imigani ni co cerekana neza Ivyo twateguriwe (No. 297) biciye mu Kumenyavyose kw’Imana. Umugani w’Umubivyi ubwawo wurerekana ko imbuto zabibwe ari ibigereranyo. Abantu bagenewe guhamagarwa no gushirwa mu Bwami bw’Imana mugihe Imana iba yateguye ko ari wo mwanya wabo wo guhamagarwa. Bamwe barahamagawe ariko ntibatoranijwe, ivyo bisigura ko babibwe bagashirwa mu muryango kubw’igihamana ariko btari baragenewe guhamagarwa kandi kubw’ivyo, ntibazoshika bazogwa iruhande y’inzira. Yesu arafasha Intumwa gutahura ubwo budasa akanabasigurira ukugene bahawe kubitahura, Umuhamagaro n’Ibitangaza vy’Imana, aho ni mugihe abatatoranijwe bo babona ko ari imigani kugira ntibatahure, nk’uko uwavugishwa n’Imana Yesaya yabivuze (Yesaya 6:9-13), kandi kubw’ivyo, ntibashobora gucirirwa urubanza batabanje guhamagarwa nk’uko bitegekanijwe, hama ngo bananirwe. Mpwemu Yera akorana n’abahamagawe n’abatoranijwe gushika aho babatizwa, hama abahamagawe bagahabwa Mpwemu Yera igihe co kubatizwa.

(2) In the former, the Twelve had just been appointed, which may have raised questions in John"s mind; in the latter, the antecedent was the raising of the widow"s son, before the calling of the Twelve.

(3) In the former case, the Lord called them to see and note what He was then doing, "which ye are hearing and seeing" (Matthew 11:4).

Stud., p. 258) tells of the discovery of an inscription of Xanthus the Lycian, found near Sunium (E. Attica), containing the regulations as to approaching the healing divinity of the sanctuary of Men Tyrannos: "If any one forces himself in, his offering was not acceptable. "Those who fulfilled the conditions had the founder"s good wishes. This last clause is conclusive and agrees with Luke 16:16.
