The Pope has declared the year 2000 a jubilee year. The pundits say it is really 2001 anyway. When is the true Millennium and what is the real significance? Who said it was the year 2000 anyway apart from a priest who got the start date wrong.

Significance of the year 2000

We are about to enter the year 2000. More fuss has been made about this year than most others. People are running around saying the Messiah is coming and the world is coming to an end. The Israelis are hearing it now from many of the 2 or 3 million visitors, who have gone there at the instigation John-Paul II to celebrate this so-called jubilee year, the year of the Trinity.

What is all the nonsense about? Why is John-Paul encouraging people in a series of un-Scriptural false premises that he knows to be utterly false and based on errors made some 1600 years ago?

The answer is politics and the introduction of hysteria into the masses, which will deal a further blow to the understanding, and expectations of the Messiah and belief in biblical prophecy.

The Roman Catholic Church commenced to do away with the Bible and attempt the conversion of Judah to Trinitarianism from as early as 600 after the declaration of the Holy Roman Empire in 590 CE.

Why do we use these dates and why do some use AD and others CE and for different reasons? How did we decide the calendar anyway? What is its basis?

The Fixing of the Calendar

How did we get to determine this was the year 2000? Allegedly this is two thousand years after the birth of Christ. However, Christ was not born in the year 1 and, if he were to be born then, the Millennium would not end until 2001 anyway. The determination of the start at what we know as 1 AD was an error of later centuries. Christ could not have been born later than 1 Nisan (or Abib) of the year 4 BCE. We know this for certain. We know, from the Bible record, that Christ was born before Herod died and Herod died between 1 and 13 Nisan in 4 BCE. Christ was up to two years old when that event happened but his birth was probably in 5 BCE at around Tabernacles (cf. The Origins of Christmas and Easter (No. 235)).

Thus the second millennium from the Birth of Christ began on 1 Nisan 1997. The year 2000 was actually in 1996, which was 3000 years from Davidís triumphal entry to Jerusalem and 2000 years from the actual birth of Christ. This structure has been examined in the paper Outline Timetable of the Age (No. 272).

How did the error occur?

The arrangement of the earliest calendar we have is that of Filocalus of 354, which was a reprint of the original of 336. Damasus of Rome employed Furius Dyonisius Filocalus for some tasks involving the tombs of the martyrs (cf. Encyc. Of Religion and Ethics (ERE), art. Calendar (Christian). In that text we seemingly have some dates given for the birth and death of Christ.

In Italy, in 536, Dionysius Exiguus made two large collections one of canons and one of decretals or papal letters down to Anastasius II (496-498) and these two when joined came to form the official Roman text book effectively displacing all others (ERE, Vol. 7. p. 836). He was given the task of compiling a table of 95 years of Easters. At that time and for millennia beforehand the system of dating was by years of the reigns of the kings. This has come to be fixed at a system of dating from the beginning of the reign of Diocletian, which started the year 1 in 284. Dennis the Short, which is what his name means, or Little Dennis as he was called by his friends, devised a system of dating as Anno Domini and set an arbitrary date as year 1 on what he thought might have been the birth of Christ and devised the backward system from year 1 also. This later came to be known as Before Christ or BC. He then wrote to a bishop Petronius in what we would understand as the year 531 or 247 anni Diocletiani complaining of the system. He contended that Diocletian was a notorious persecutor of Christians and so he stated in his letter, that he:

Preferred to count and denote the years from the incarnation of our Lord, in order to make the foundation of our hope better known and the cause of our redemption of man more conspicuous (cf. the translation of this text in David Ewing Duncan, The Calendar, Fourth Estate London, 1998, p. 100)

Dennis did not place a year 0 in the calendar in the transition, as the zero had not as yet been invented.

Whether or not the system was used unofficially as a tradition we do not know, nor do we know where the abbot got the information he used to make the calculations. However, he was the first we acknowledge as using the system when he produced the Easter tables, anni Domini nostri Jesu Christi (the years of our lord Jesus Christ) 532-627 (ibid.).

It was his friend Cassiodorus who first used the system in a published work when he and his monks published their textbook in 562 on how to determine Easter and other dates; the Computus Paschalis.

Initially his system was resisted by Christians who preferred the anni Diocletiani as they referred to it as the Era of the Martyrs and dated all things in this manner (ibid. p. 101). In fact the Christian Coptic Church in Egypt still calculates their dates from the Era of the Martyrs and for them it is the year 1716. Slowly the current system spread throughout Italy over the next several decades and then very slowly throughout the world (ibid.). The Catholics brought it to Britain from 595 and after its conversion under threat of force at Whitby in 664 from the true faith. The system came into Gaul in the eighth century and was not in wide use in Europe until the tenth century. In some outlying provinces and in parts of Spain it did not come into use until the 1300s. The inverse of BC being Before Christ was not used until 1627 when the French astronomer Denis Petau introduced the system at the Collège de Clermont in Paris (Duncan ibid., p. 101-102).

The current dating system came to permeate the western world. The reforms of the Calendar under Gregory XIII did not correct the errors of the system. It seems that it is not mentioned much in any of the recent texts. However, the error may not be examined because it suits the purpose of the factions not to have the true dates and calendar understood.

The New Year

The New Year was not celebrated on 1 January in any Bible or Church system. It was introduced from Rome under the Julian system. It was not celebrated in England until the Normans brought it with them in 1066. It was dispensed with not all that long after and the New Year went back to March, on 25 March which was the day of the ancient equinox also fixed in the Samaritan Calendar. This was to remain until the eighteenth century (cf. the paper The Moon and the New Year (No. 213)).

The true New Year according to the Bible is in the month of Abib, which is the first month of the year and it occurs in March/April according to the Luni/Solar calendar.

Thus the western world follows a pagan calendar determined by Romans using a date as the New Year against the express orders of God and according to a system of years, which is four years out in its calculations.

The Jubilee

The declaration of 2000 as a jubilee is likewise completely in error. The jubilee is determined from a number of Bible texts and falls in the years 27 and 77 of the current era.

The determination of the jubilee is examined in the paper Reading the Law with Ezra and Nehemiah (No. 250).

The next jubilee is in the year 2027/8 and falls on Atonement and runs twelve months ending in time for the field to be planted for the Passover harvest the next year.

So we have a false year date. A new year contrary to the laws of God and a jubilee not in accordance with Godís system and all directly contrary to the provisions of the Bible in the true jubilee system.

What is the purpose of such error?

It is not as though they do not know the magnitude of the errors and their behaviour. What is the purpose? Why are they doing it? Have they no fear of God? The answer is no. They have no fear of God. This Millennial celebration is actually in fulfilment of another prophecy of Messiah.

Luke 18:8 is a prophecy concerning the loss of faith in the last days.

Luke 18:7-8 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (KJV)

How is that achieved? Note there are two facets of this statement. The first speaks of the persecution of the elect. This persecution of the Fifth Seal, of Revelation will continue until Messiah comes to save those who eagerly await him.

A text in Matthew shows that we are all on the run during this persecution until the son of man comes.

Matthew 10:23 23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. (KJV)

The persecution of the Fifth Seal commenced in the twentieth century. The first phases of the woman in the wilderness pursued by the dragon of Rev. 12 (esp. 12:17) was for the 1260 years of the Holy Roman Empire from 590 to 1850. In that time the church fled from city to city and nation to nation or went underground especially in Europe. The next phase was of the Holocaust. This lasted from 1927 to 1945 in Turkey and Europe and to 1953 in Russia under Stalin. The Roman Catholic and Lutheran Churches were instrumental in this action. They supported both the SA and the SS in their activities and aided the SS war criminals to escape at the end of WW2 (see the paper The Holocaust: The Fifth Seal of Persecution).

The Holocaust was a Trinitarian church-inspired action to eliminate the law of God from Europe and their inheritors will now try to remove it from the rest of the world.

To achieve this aim they must produce a series of actions that serve to illustrate that the Bible prophecies have been misunderstood and that the coming of the Messiah is not confined to a 2000-year or forty jubilee time program within the Sign of Jonah.

My Lord Delays His Coming

The prophecy of the delay is repeated in the texts of Matthew 24:48 and Luke 12:45.

Matthew 24:48 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; (KJV)

We see the phrase here My Lord delayeth his coming. We know that God will send Christ at the appropriate time. Therefore, there must be an activity that gives the impression of the delay of the coming of the Messiah in the last days that has the effect of altering the way in which Christians view and treat one another.

Let us view the text in Luke.

Luke 12:35-49 35 "Let your loins be girded and your lamps burning, 36 and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the marriage feast, so that they may open to him at once when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes; truly, I say to you, he will gird himself and have them sit at table, and he will come and serve them. 38 If he comes in the second watch, or in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants! 39 But know this, that if the householder had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into. 40 You also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an unexpected hour." 41 Peter said, "Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for all?" 42 And the Lord said, "Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. 44 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 45 But if that servant says to himself, `My master is delayed in coming,' and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will punish him, and put him with the unfaithful. 47 And that servant who knew his master's will, but did not make ready or act according to his will, shall receive a severe beating. 48 But he who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, shall receive a light beating. Every one to whom much is given, of him will much be required; and of him to whom men commit much they will demand the more. 49 "I came to cast fire upon the earth; and would that it were already kindled! (RSV)

So here we see the context of the delay. Christ wanted it to be already kindled. The people who consider this delay as an excuse to punish those who are also trying to serve God through Christ will be cast out with the unfaithful. This should have served as a warning to the mainstream Orthodox churches who persecuted and killed and tortured the elect of God, simply because they refused to accept the right of the Catholics and the Protestants to alter the Laws of God. This view which is at the heart of antisemitism was the cause of the Holocaust and the persecutions of the Church and the Jews throughout Europe (cf. S. Kohn, The Sabbatarians in Transylvania, (foreword by W. Cox, trans. T. McElwain and B. Rook, CCG Publishing, 1998).

The aim is to create the great hysteria around the year 2000 following on from the calendar miscalculation and then to attempt to create the great anti-climax. We will see problems occur that are designed to discredit Bible students and to throw the Law of God into disrepute. During the establishment of the New World Order the pressure will be brought to bear on all Sabbath-keeping non-Trinitarians. This year is meant to commence that process. The grounds for the re-introduction of the Inquisition were set in place during the encyclical of John-Paul in 1993, which was opposed by Roman Catholic thinkers such as Morris West.

We are all supposed to be brought together in this great one world system that is totally alien to the Bible and the Laws of God. This pope has set the groundwork for it. That is why the Catholic prophet Malachy entitled him From the Labour of the Sun and the next pope will see it in full flight as From the Glory of the Olive (see the paper The Last Pope: Examining Nostradamus and Malachy (No. 288)).

The fact of the matter is that this system and its false religion has only a few more years to go under the Sign of Jonah (cf. the paper The Sign of Jonah and the History of the Reconstruction of the Temple (No. 13)). Then the entire black cassocked Baal and Mother Goddess worshipping system of the sun cults will be destroyed (cf. the paper The Messages of Revelation 14 (No. 270)).

Jerusalem was surrounded by armies on 1 Abib 70 CE, in accordance with the Sign of Jonah, forty years after the death of Messiah. It was destroyed totally in accordance with the seventy weeks of years of Daniel 9:25-26. Jerusalem will again be surrounded by the armies of heaven in total control under Messiah by 2027, in accordance with the Sign of Jonah and is 40 jubilees exactly from the declaration of the Acceptable Year of the Lord in the jubilee following the birth of Messiah.

2000 is actually 2004 at least and has no relationship to the true calendar or to the laws of God and the testimony of Christ. It is the fabrication of demons in order to destroy the morale of the elect and to appear as though Christ has delayed his coming. It is designed to appear that the Orthodox Church will have some continuity after the farce that these Sunday worshipping Trinitarians have manufactured in defiance of God and his Messiah. Their next move is to set up the Goddess of Heaven in its former place under the name Mary (as opposed to Mariam the true name of Christís mother). The system they have is a replication of the system of the Easter or Ishtar system of the Baal-Ashtoreth worshippers under Jezebel as priestess, who was killed by Elijah. (cf. the papers: The Virgin Mariam and the Family of Jesus Christ (No. 232), The Origins of Christmas and Easter (No. 235), The Golden Calf (No. 222), and Gideonís Force and the Last Days (No. 22)).

Our task is to hold fast to the faith once delivered to the saints and to warn the world of its imminent deliverance.
